A CASE OF DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENT IN CONVERSION PARALYSIS WITH SUPPORTIVE PSYCHOTHERAPY AND TRANQUILIZERS

Abstract
|
|
|
The authors report a case of conversion paralysis seen in a 20-year-old single male. The manifesting
syndromes were dramatically subsided with supportive psychotherapy on the basis of symptomatic, interpretative, educative, subtle suggestion and tranquilizer, on the 4th hospital day.
Several literatures were reviewed and clinical aspects of this syndrome were discussed.
